Cold Coniston Cruise

harrm
Sunday 7th January, I was living the sailing dream. Coniston was beautiful, with a background of heavily snow capped hills and a steady south/ south westerly breeze helping to push me and Arion towards Peel Island. After lunch I tacked my way back up the lake with a steady wind with occasional gusts. It was freezing, feet like blocks of ice but soon felt better after coffee and fish pie in the Wilsons Arms in Torver. Anne-Marie, after helping me set up the boat, walked from Coniston boating centre to Tarn Hows and met me at the boating centre to dismantle it again. Living the dream!

Sailing into the sunLunch spot - best view around!
