Dinghy Crusing Downunder

Bruce Gregor 3044
Hi Frank
Nice to hear from you today and discuss all things dinghy cruising.
I will let you know if I come accross other interested perons willing to tarvel and cruise in dinghies.

Here are some links to an interesting small gaff cutter with mizzen option which I used to refine the design of my gaff mainsail.
It's designed by Salway Fisher. This picture below is from the Hornsea sailing club link which shows a gunter rig with mizzen.

Cheers

Hi Bruce,
A lovely evocative little boat
Reminds me of theRNSA 14 owned by another dca member Ross Murray (now sadly deceased ).  They were my reintroduction to beach cruising.
Ross won the Naylor Noggin (?)  award for his piece on dinghy cruising on the edge of the roaring forties.
His motto was," Anything less than a week is a waste."
Ah - Vale Ross!

Oh by the way regarding the stornoway 12
I could not see any provision for floatation on the plans
Some designers seem notorious for this
