Fenders, boat rollers and supports when beached

Chris Davidson
I am trying to find large fenders that I will be able to use as boat rollers and supports when beached.
I think I saw some on Roger Barnes' boat at Poole Harbour this summer.
Any recommendations?

You can get them in most yacht chandlers, eg Force 4, in varying sizes. I used to use large fenders in my Mayfly dinghy, which were also good for propping the boat-up when dried-out, and tied onto the side-bench they were comfortable for sitting-on too, and of course additional buoyancy. They had to be large for rolling down the shingle beach at Pevensey Bay where I used to sail, but I found the Cormorant was too heavy to lift her onto those big rollers, so now I use smaller ones which work just as well, but are not so good for sitting on.
