Firth of Tay

Robin
Morning all
Im planning a trip down to the Firth of Tay, launching at Broughty Ferry.  I was wondering if anyone has experience of sailing on the firth?  The Imray charts I have don't really give much information of what is happening around the bridges or Broughty Ferry....any advice/ suggestions appreciated.

Cheers
Robin

Hi Robin

Sorry, no direct experience but may be worth contacting the local sailing clubs.

The Royal Tay also has a coastal rowing section, see https://scottishcoastalrowing.org/2014/09/02/brochty-splashes-onto-the-tay/ They are bound to have explored around the bridge even if dinghy racers keep away.

Have fun!
