Hello from the Yealm

Stephen Allen 3304
Hi all,
Have been a DCA member for about a year but only just got round to the forum.

I sail a caledonia yawl out of the Yealm in South Devon, trailering not an option at the moment.

Managed to get out on the Forder rally, which was great, so hope to make it along to some more.

regards Steve

I have seen your boat went out on Wembury beach in the past. It is stunning.

Hi Steve,

Did I see you coming into the Yealm, yesterday? I was going out in my Aber.  If you are a local, we should get together for a chat some time.  I am in Newton Ferrers.

Regards,

David.

Hi david
Nope wasn't me, sadly.
I have a Welsford navigator, scruffy, beaten up, chipped and dented due to her skipper's incompetency and lack of garage space for refurbishment.

It would be great to catch up but I can only sail some weekends and then mainly Saturday's due to work commitments. It would be nice to get some more advice and experience about how to rig and sail poor Arwen more efficiently

Hi David

You may have seen me out sailing, I have a mooring in the pool just by the visitors pontoon. Don't look at the forum very regularly but try to use the boat as often as possible. A small local meet would be good, even just for a day sail, my trailer is very rough so a lot of the SW meets are out of range.

Hope to see you about

regards Steve
