Introduction

Mark Law 3243
Hi I'am Mark and I sail a Voyager 14, my local sailing spot is Rutland Water but I really enjoy sailing around the UK East Coast. I also kayak and windsurf when time allows!  I try to keep a blog of my sailing adventures when I can.

Hi Mark, I really like your V-14, especially the companionway hatch.  Is that a factory standard option or is it your modification?  It looks really believable.  Just remember to dog the hatch and you aren't going to get her wet inside!  Ken Preston

Hi ken, glad you like the boat. What do you sail and whereabouts?

My V14 has had quite a few modifications, one of the main aims was to keep her fully watertight in the event of a capsize.

Quest has 6 separate watertight compartments, throughout the boat, 4 of which are foam filled.

She also has many other modifications including fiberglass reinforcement, through bolting of all deck fittings with 316 grade s/s, rigging modifications, trailer modifications, electrics include a 50Ah battery, charger, echosounder, interior lighting.

To much to list really, I have had great fun doing it (at times). Have a look at the aforementioned blog if you would like to see more details, although it is a bit behind at the moment.
