SW area Tremayne Quay rally 23/24 Sept.

David Platten 2616
Who else is going on this one? My brother and I aim to be there, with gazebo and a couple of 'instant' barbecue trays, launching from Mylor shortly after HW on Saturday morning. Depending on which forecast site you look at, we could have a) rain showers and 20knot winds, b)sunshine and 10knot breeze, c) overcast and flat calm. I'm plumping for the middle one! (Though preparing for the others, of course...)
Regards,David

I plan to be there, launching at Mylor Friday afternoon.

I plan to sail out to Rame Head and have a look at the sea conditions on Friday morning. If it's do-able I’ll aim for a Falmouth marina for Friday night then on to Helford on Saturday hoping to see someone on the way.

Cheers

John

hi David.
I wont be attending this rally but hope you all have good weather. My father is celebrating his 80th birthday this weekend and whilst my suggestion that he come with me on this rally was welcomed by him, it bought scorn, ridicule and derision from my siblings, children, nephews and niece. Let's just say my mother, was less than impressed. Dad on the other hand was really up for it!
Fair winds everyone.

Hello David,
Looking at the weather right now, a bit scarey here in Penzance but may still go for Coverack
and make for Tremayne on Sat morning. Alternative being trailer to Coverack and sail from there.
"Hope" to see you all on Saturday, but I'm not the bravest of sailers in the assn. Pete

I decided that the forecast f7 was too much! So I'll hope to get there from Saltash tomorrow.

I am aiming for a lunchtime launch Mylor as the forecasts I am reading predict the wind to start easing in the afternoon. Hoping for a fun F4-5 over and relaxing F3 on the way home.

Bet you're braver than me, Peter! I'm cautious to the point of cowardice. However, brother Geoff is highly competent and experienced, and it looks like we've got a good weather window from a.m. Sat. to p.m. Sun.  Hopefully, see you at Tremayne Quay (actually, just up river from it, I understand.) Regards David

Hi Dave. I’m now anchored back in Plymouth sound. Had a boisterous sail out to Rame Head and decided I didn't fancy another 8 hours of it. Hope you all have a great meet. John
